March Madness: UConn eliminate Duke with last-second shot after historic comeback

Welcome to Flashscore's 2026 March Madness tracker, where we will be updating every final score and posting all of the biggest upsets and buzzer-beaters as the tournament moves along!

Our tracker will have a continually updated schedule for the current round of the tournament with buzzer-beating highlights and notifications for major upsets. 

Each game also includes the spread next to the team that is the favorite to win and the USA TV stations on which they will be broadcast. For fans in every international region, Disney+ is the primary streaming service for the tournament. Fans in Europe and the Middle East can also catch games on DAZN, while those in Canada can stream on TSN+. 

Now, with the first two rounds in the books, let's take a look at the Final Four matchups slated for April 4th on TBS/truTV (USA). All games are listed with Eastern time (New York).

March 29th

FINAL: (2) UConn 73-72 (1) Duke

UConn's Braylon Mullins drilled a deep three from the logo with just 0.4 seconds left to go as they eliminated Duke. The Huskies have now made the Final Four in three of the last four tournaments. 

Duke led for 96% of the game and once had a 19-point lead during the game in what is now being considered one of the best comebacks by UConn in tournament history. It is now the first time ever that a No. 1 seed lost after leading by at least 15 points at halftime.

UConn will now face Illinois in the Final Four, while Michigan will take on Arizona.

FINAL: (1) Michigan 95-62 (6) Tennessee

The Wolverines held Tennessee to just 32% shooting and a brutal 13% from three-point range, while shooting 52% (37% - 3PT) themselves as they led for 84% of the game.

Michigan has now scored at least 90 points in each of their tournament games. It is the largest margin of victory in a regional finals since 1989, when Michigan beat Virginia by 37 - that same year that the Wolverines went on to win their first-ever National Championship.

They now move on to their ninth Final Four appearance, their first since 2018, where they'll face (1) Arizona on April 4th.

March 28th results

FINAL: (1) Arizona 79-64 (2) Purdue

Arizona clinched their spot in the Final Four for the first time in 25 years. The last time they made it was in 2001 when they advanced to the National Championship, where they eventually lost to Duke, who they could face again in the big dance if they beat out UConn and Illinois. 

The Wildcats outscored Purdue 40-24 in the paint and held the Boilermakers to just 38% shooting from the floor. They led for 60% of the game, with their largest lead being 18 at one point.

Arizona will now await the winner between (1) Michigan and (6) Tennessee.

FINAL: (3) Illinois 71-59 (9) Iowa

Illinois advanced to their first Final Four in 21 years after holding Iowa to 23% shooting in the second half. The last time Illinois advanced to the Final Four (2005), they advanced to the National Championship, where they eventually lost to UNC. 

The Fighting Illini out-rebounded Iowa 38-21 (16-8 offensive) and held them to just 38% shooting the entire game and outscored them 40-12 in the paint. Keaton Wagler (Illinois) led all players with 25 points, while Andrej Stojakovic (Illinois) put up 17 points off the bench.

Now, they await the winner between Duke and UConn.

Friday, March 27th

FINAL: (1) Duke 80-75 (5) St. John's

FINAL: (1) Michigan 90-77 (4) Alabama

FINAL: (2) UCONN 67-63 (3) Michigan St.

FINAL: (6) Tennessee 76-62 (2) Iowa St.

Duke will face UCONN in the Elite 8 for a spot in the Final Four, while Michigan takes on Tennessee.

Thursday, March 26th

FINAL: (2) Purdue 79-77 (11) Texas

After a missed layup from point guard Braden Smith, Purdue's Trey Kaufman-Renn tipped in the game-winner with 0.7 seconds left! 

This is now Purdue's seventh appearance in the Elite 8 - their second in the past three seasons. They now await the winner between (4) Arkansas and (1) Arizona. 

FINAL: (9) Iowa 77-71 (4) Nebraska

Iowa advanced to their first Elite 8 for the first time in almost 40 years (1987). They'll face the winner between (3) Illinois and (2) Houston. Their run to the Elite 8 comes off wins against (8) Clemson, (1) Florida, and now (4) Nebraska. 

Their Cinderella run continues to the next round.

Round of 32 scores + highlights

FINAL: (2) Purdue 79-69 (7) Miami

This is now Purdue's seventh Sweet 16 appearance in the last nine years - tied for the most of any program throughout all of college basketball. They will now be taking on No. 11 seed Texas, who are coming off their big upset over No. 3 Gonzaga.

FINAL: (2) Iowa State 82-63 (7) Kentucky

Iowa State advanced to the Sweet 16 for the third time in the last five years. Four of their five starts had double-digit points, with Tamin Lipsey leading the way with a career-high 26, along with 10 assists, five steals, and three rebounds.

They now await the winner between (3) Virginia and (6) Tennessee.

FINAL: (5) St. John's 67-65 (4) Kansas

For the first time since 1999, St. John's advances to the Sweet 16 after Dylan Darling hit the game-winning layup at the buzzer!

Darling was just 0-for-4 shooting heading into the final moment, but he made the fifth one count the most.

FINAL: (6) Tennessee 79-72 (3) Virginia

FINAL: (9) Iowa 73-72 (1) Florida

For the first time since 1999, Iowa also heads back to the Sweet 16 after knocking off the defending champion Florida Gators! The last time a No. 9 seed knocked off a No. 1 seed was in 2018 when Florida State upset Xavier. 

There are now six teams from the BIG 10 conference in the Sweet 16.

Michigan's win marked their 33rd on the season - tying a single-season program record. They'll face the winner between (4) Alabama and (5) Texas Tech next round in the Sweet 16.

FINAL: (3) Michigan State 77-69 (6) Louisville

Coen Carr led the way with 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Jeremy Fears Jr. put up 12 points and 16 assists. Michigan State will now wait and see who they'll face in the Sweet 16 after the matchup between (7) UCLA or (2) UCONN.

FINAL: (1) Duke 81-58 (9) TCU

Duke will be advancing to the Sweet 16, where they await the winner between (5) St. John's and (4) Kansas. They have now advanced to the Sweet 16 a whopping 29 times since the 1985 expansion format (64 teams).

Meanwhile, it would've been TCU's first Sweet 16 appearance since the expanded format. Duke only led 38-34 entering halftime, but would go on to almost double the amount of points TCU put up in the second half.

FINAL: (11) Texas 74-68 (3) Gonzaga

Texas head coach Sean Miller will be making his ninth Sweet 16 appearance, his first with Texas, after the team won three games in five days to advance. Texas started off the tournament coming out of the First Four with a win over NC State to claim the No. 11 seed. 

Miller is the first head coach in Texas program history to lead the team to the Sweet 16 in his first year. Now, they await the winner between (7) Miami and (2) Purdue.

FINAL: (7) Kentucky 89-84 (10) Santa Clara (OT)

Kentucky avoided the upset after their star Otega Oweh drained a buzzer-beating three that sent it to overtime! Oweh finished with a stellar 35 points (11-24) with eight rebounds and seven assists.

They now advance to the Round of 32, where they'll face the winner between (2) Iowa State and (15) Tennessee State.

FINAL: (1) Arizona 92-58 (16) Long Island

FINAL: (3) Virginia 82-73 (14) Wright St.

On the second day of the Round of 64, Utah State became the first lower seed to take home the win after they went on a 15-3 run over the last 5:40. The matchup had nine ties and 12 lead changes. Now, Utah State will move on to the Round of 32, where they'll face No. 1 seed Arizona.

It is the sixth time ever that all No. 9 seeds advanced to the Round of 32. The others included Utah State, Saint Louis, and TCU.

Braden Smith became the all-time Division I assist leader with his 1,077th!

UCONN's Tarris Reed Jr. became just the third player since 1960 to put up at least 30 points and 25 rebounds in a single tournament game, joining Elvin Hayes and Jerry Lucas. 

Reed finished the game shooting 12-for-15. His 27 rebounds were also more than the entire team of Furman had the entire game (23).

FINAL: (9) TCU 66-64 (8) Ohio State

TCU eliminated Ohio State with a last-second shot from Xavier Edmonds in the first game of the tournament!

FINAL: (4) Nebraska 76-47 (13) Troy

This is Nebraska's first-ever NCAA tournament victory in their 87-year history! The Cornhuskers had previously gone 0-8 in the big dance. 

They now await the winner between (12) McNeese State and (5) Vanderbilt as they move on to the Round of 32.

FINAL: (6) Louisville 83-79 (11) South Florida

FINAL: (12) High Point 83-82 (5) Wisconsin

High Point pulled off the first major upset of the round by beating fifth-seeded Wisconsin to claim their first-ever March Madness victory!
